A Lear's Macaw or a Hyacinth?

Writer: San Francisco Bird Hotel San Francisco Bird Hotel

Boogie’s Blabber:

A Lear’s Macaw aka the Indigo Macaw is native to Brazil. Similar to the Hyacinth macaw in looks, they are smaller with a tinge of green, a yellow patch near the black bill and orange-yellow around the eyes. Indigo Macaws are highly endangered and conservation programs in Brazil serve to increase Lear’s Macaws in the wild.
